SHATTO MILK COMPANY

Parker's Kindergarten class got to take a field trip to Shatto Milk Company. What a great time we had. The kids got to see a real working diary farm in action. We saw the cows being milked, the milk being put in the bottles and the bottles being sterilized. We went out to the barn and got to feed and brush the baby cows. They were so cute. The kids even got to milk a cow! It was a long bus ride up but it was sure worth the trip.

The first picture is basically what Parker thought of most of the place - it smelled funny!

Here is how they hook the cow up to milk her. Those things pop off automatically when the cow has give all her milk from her utter!

This is Pat...we milked her and we all got to pet her afterwards.
